Ocean Cloud Sites – Billing Changes and System Maintenance

Ocean Cloud Sites – Billing Changes and System Maintenance

As part of our efforts to continually improve our Ocean Cloud offerings, we will be performing maintenance on our Cloud Sites environment. The maintenance window has been rescheduled and will now occur on Friday November 12th, 2010 from 10:00 pm US-CDT (3:00 am GMT) and end Saturday November 12th, 2010 at 10:00am US-CDT (3:00 pm GMT).

During the maintenance window, we will be updating our Billing systems in order to align all billing for hosting fees, overages, and add-ons to the same billing period and date. These changes will not affect nor change any of your current billing fees.

For further details, below we have provided a breakdown of some new features that will help to improve your Billing experience!

The major change is related to the timeframe in which fees are billed. Here is the scenario.

Currently:

.     Hosting fees are billed in advance (before the month of service)

.     Fees for overages in bandwidth, disk, and compute cycles usage are billed in arrears (after the month end)

.     Fees for add-on products and services, such as MSSQL and SSL subscribed to during the month, are billed a prorated amount separately at the time of subscription.  In the months following the fee for the add-ons is billed in advance

After:

.     All fees will be billed in arrears at the end of the month (including prorated fees for add-ons subscribed to during the month). A final bill will be issued at the time of account closure.

This change will align all billing for hosting fees, overages, and add-ons to the same billing period and date. Your billing date will remain the same. Secondly, if you subscribe to Ocean Cloud’s client billing services, we will align your entire client billing dates with your billing date.  Your client usage reset dates will match your account anniversary date. This will make it easier for you to know when your clients will be billed and when you will receive the funds collected on your behalf. This gives you a single date to remember and discuss with your clients.  Your clients will continue to be billed in advance for the billing period selected.
